Mim not in her natural habitat- but satisfied temporarily with her Starbucks. Note – always a venti and always pretty full because she doesn’t actually drink it that much. It is a status symbol, proof that she is not a child. Why do I buy her a large Starbucks when I know she isn’t going to drink it? Other teenagers want earrings and sweatshirts and the coolest bluejeans. Mim just wants these overpriced coffees. I cave.

Awful photography, but I caught Mim relaxed and she is smiling speaking to a stranger- which she is ultra good at, provided it is a non-smoker.

Mim and I went fishing- our way.

Note the Diet Coke. I thought this would be how we spent our vacation. She only lasted a total of 1 hour on the beach over the 5ish days. I have no pool pictures. Partly because Mim recuperates at the pool- she can get in a groove and enjoy herself. I couldn’t risk interrupting her chill. With it just being the two of us, I could see the difficulties a vacation can pose. Different can be exhausting.

Her hair matching the clouds…

Mim doing exactly what she wants- wearing a fabulous maxi dress from Marshall’s and sneakers, waiting for the free trolley after having mocktails and Caesar salad.

Coming back year after year, hopefully.

Mim. I had a good time with her. It was a good day.
