Only you can redeem the essence of motherhood. The world does not honor us- we saw that through the eyes of a pandemic. And yet as Margaret Renkl reminds us, our ancient association is glorious.
Do we all mother? In our different ways- we all create. We nurture. Being am other is universal and so lonely at times. The glory and luck of my life’s work. The beauty and hell. The deepest hurts and the most luscious love.
At this moment, my words feel trivial. So I will post others.
Thanks for being you.
I love you.
I don’t know how we do it.
You amaze me.
Do it your own way and be proud of your mothering.
Don’t give up, y’all. I am so proud of you. Motherhood should not. be a solo job. Reach out and get help. Everybody needs help. Let’s be a village.
